Vinyl Mould & Latex Foam Mould
In this project, I was taught the prosses of working with and making a plaster mould which could be used too cast from either using Vinyl or silicon, which could then have soft foam added.
When looking for objects to cast we were limited to human organs I decided to go with the brain as I wanted to test my ability as sculpting and trying to replicate the patterns found in a human brain was quite a challenge.
Thankfully I was success full in making a two-part plaster mould and casting both vinyl rubber which was painted with oils pants and liquid latex which only required some cleanups around the seems of the cast.
