J42: Productions

For this project, our task was to make a one-sixth scale model of a piece of furniture with the limitations being that we were limited to three-time periods these being the Medieval, Victorian and modern

 

the time period I chose was modern specifically the art style of Memphis which was populated during the 1980s.

Memphis had a focus on bright colours and geometric shapes and breaking as many design rules as possible

 

The peace of furniture I chose is called the Big Sur and was design by the artist Peter Shire 

my Model uses plywood as cure cover in styrene with the fabric elements made from sheep of play foam.
